Deception of: "Jesus Ate With SINNERS"

There is this deception that many church people and just Christians fall into, and that is the deception that is okay to be like the world, OR to associate with another brother in Christ who is in sin. If you are a Christian who is a disciple of Jesus, you are called out of the world. You are not to associate whatsoever with a brother who is in sin. This is what is written in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, I start in verse 33. "Do NOT be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits. AWAKE to righteousness, and DO NOT SIN; for some do not have the knowledge of God." I SPEAK THIS TO SHAME YOU. See many Christians use the verse where it says that Jesus associated with sinners and ate with sinners and tax collectors, they use that verse to justify their own sin, and they use it to justify that they associate with sinners. BUT did you know that Jesus did not just "hang out" with sinners to no avail? BUT Jesus was preaching repentance to sinners who WERE REPENTING! And did you also know that these so called "sinners" were only sinners in the eyes of the Pharisees. You got to notice that the Pharisees were the ones that were calling these people sinners, but they were also calling Jesus Himself a sinner. I want to read to you, Matthew chapter 9. I start in verse 10. "Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the PHARISEES saw it, they said to His disciples, 'Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?'" See they're making an accusation to/against Jesus and His disciples.) "When Jesus heard that, He said to them. 'Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick, BUT GO AND LEARN WHAT THIS MEANS: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, BUT SINNERS TO REPENTANCE." See the Pharisees are the ones pointing their fingers and saying that Jesus is demon possessed, the Pharisees like to point the fingers and say that Jesus broke the Sabbath, you know Jesus didn't wash His hands before He would eat. The Pharisees were pointing fingers, but they were only righteous in their OWN eyes. In the eyes of GOD, the people that the Pharisees called sinners were becoming righteous, BUT in the eyes of GOD the PHARISEES were hypocrites, and THEY were the ones who were TRULY in SIN. So you can't justify eating with sinners and continuing to associate and condone sin, and think that it's okay because Jesus associated with sinners. If TRULY you have repented to live in righteousness, you need to live in righteousness and CUT AWAY from you the person who is in sin. You need to live in righteousness. TRULY if you are a disciple of Jesus, you live in righteous; you DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH SINNERS. But what this does NOT mean: This does not mean that you give up on preaching repentance. This does not mean you stop going out into the street and telling people to repent and seek Jesus. This does NOT mean that you stop going out to people and reaching out to them and sharing the gospel of truth. You will meet MANY sinners. You know I go out onto the street, and I preach repentance unto Jesus because ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE. And I talk to MANY who are in sin, BUT I preach repentance to them, and if they repent, I have won a brother. BUT if they reject the gospel, if these people say; "I'm already a brother, but I'm in sin" and if these brothers reject the message of repentance. If they blaspheme the name of the Holy Spirit, I certainly do NOT go and eat with them, and start associating with them as if they are a brother who has truly repented. Brothers who have TRULY repented, they LIVE in righteousness, they preach repentance and they WIN MORE BROTHERS and SISTERS TO THE LORD! They certainly DON'T continue to eat with sinners, that's a lie from SATAN. SO COME OUT, BE SEPARATE. Separate yourself from sinners, and preach repentance. LIVE HOLY! BUT PREACH PEPENTANCE TO SINNERS. Come out and be separate! May the grace of Jesus be with you.

the first 2 commandments are to love so shouldn't we love? I believe we should try to love everyone into the kingdom. also, if a Christian is shunning me because I am a sinner, why would I want to become a Christian or stay on the path to being a Christian especially if I am a new believer. We should come alongside of our fellow believers & help them in their Christian walk, not shun them. Jesus would leave the 99 to go for the 1 lost sheep. There r also many verses about love, so lets love

Friend, true love NEVER rejoices in sin and iniquity but rejoices in the TRUTH. Truth does not lie or tell a friend that it is okay to continue in sin, that is not love. If you continue to sin there certainly is no salvation awaiting you. Re-read Hebrews 10:26-27

i'm not saying to rejoice in sin. i'm not saying to lie or tell a friend it is ok to continue in sin. i'm just saying we should love people instead of shunning them. in a loving way we should show them their faults & sins if they don't see it. also if you show them the word, they can't deny the word. 1 of the fruits of the spirit is love. sometimes we don't even take the time to see where other people are coming from or what they have been through in their life, we shun 'em or help 'em

howie399b I understand where you are coming from. Don't get discouraged. Part of love is to firmly warn one another about the dangers of sin, but as you said, not to shun. I don't think someone who is not truly a believer would care if they were shunned. There is a difference between slipping up from time to time, and willfully disobeying.
