I don't think Jesus would ever hold anyone at gunpoint like that, yes I agree that on judgement day He will judge us all and send some to Hell and some to Heaven but I don't think He will hold us a gunpoint.  I think it would have been better and maybe even more effective to talk about real examples and real situations with this kid.  Also you could show videos of real situations.
