I am not my own. I've been bought with a price. It is no longer I who live, but Christ in me.... I seriously believe that one of the greatest dangers to us as believers is that we easily give mental assent to the truth of these words, but fail to recognize when we do not act on them. Hearing the word, but not being changed by it = deception. Doing the word means I do not make allowance for any of my own attitudes, whims, passions, desires, idiosyncrasies, moods, or emotions that do not line up with "on earth as it is in Heaven." Frankly, I don't have the right, since I've been purchased.

We can't work up the mental energy and will to allow Christ to live His life through us. We so desperately need to live fully aware of God's presence in our lives. I recently heard a pastor say that the busier we are saying "yes" to God - worshiping Him, thanking Him, seizing opportunities He has set before us to be others-centered - the less time we'll have to get trapped in the wrong kinds of attitudes, mindsets, actions, etc. In His presence, by His spirit, we are healed, we are empowered to live free, and we are enabled to reach out to others and minister life to them, which is what life in the Kingdom is about. It's a win-win-win situation, all around. It's His delight to give us the Kingdom.

So... I need to think about this more often. :)

Men and women - before watching pornography think to yourself that most of the women (and some of the men) in the porn industry are sex slaves and have been trafficked into this. They are not willingly making these movies/posing for these pictures. When you partake of pornography, you are agreeing with and becoming an associate by refusing to stop watching/looking at porngraphy. You are partaking of a crime when you watch pornography - partaking of the sex trade.

Ashlie Nychole Matalamaki I think if people spent half as much time trying to improve their relationships as they do watching porn, there would be alot more functional couples. I know my life would be happier without disgusting porn constantly infiltrating my life.
